I would like a free estimate! And what should I expect from Big Rock?

With enough details, we can provide you with a preliminary estimate for your concrete project. If the estimate lines up with your budget, we will book a site visit to firm up pricing and make sure that everything has been taken into consideration. The more information that you can provide including pictures or sketches, the more accurate your preliminary quote will be.

• Fill out the details and request a preliminary quote. You should expect to have something back within the week. Let us know that you received your preliminary estimate and email or call with any questions. If you would like to proceed, let us know and we will book a site visit to go over details and confirm the quote. Once the quote is confirmed, we will send you a contract through docusign for a signature and you will be placed on the schedule.
• We will notify you of our next available estimated start date. If this date does not work for you, we can schedule your project at a time that it does.
• If your project requires AB One Call, we will arrange for them to come approximately 1 week prior to your estimated start date. Homeowners are responsible for any permits when required. If you do not know if you need a permit, we can help you with this.
• We will send you a reminder a few days prior to your estimated start date. If your date needs to move due to weather or for any other reason, we will try to give you as much notice as possible.
• Our crew will come and install forms. After the forming is complete, a pour date will be set. A different crew will arrive to complete the pour and finishing.
• The forms will be removed and sealer will be applied to exposed or stamped finishes. If backfilling is required, it will be done at the end of the job.
• You should expect an invoice from us shortly after the job has been completed. Payment is accepted through email transfer, cheque or cash. Due to high credit card fees, we only accept credit card for $500 of the total purchase price or we can add a 2.5% credit card fee to your total invoice amount to offset the cost. Email transfers can be broken up into multiple payments if limits are an issue.
• Make sure you know when your concrete will be ready for use. Generally, a slab that is designed for foot traffic will be ready the following day. A slab that is designed for a vehicle will be 40 days before you can drive or park on it.
• Please note that our minimum projects for distances of 60 km or more outside of Okotoks is around 1,000 sq ft of concrete. If your project is less than this, we may be unable to service your request.
