Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete gives a highly decorative and customized looking finish. The process of stamping concrete is more complex than a broomed finish as a separate colour is added to the concrete mix to produce a two-toned look. This allows for a more realistic appearance in the finish to produce the desired look of natural stone, aged brick, and many more.

Advantages of stamped concrete:

• The variety of stamp designs and color choices allow for truly unique and personalized outdoor spaces.
• Considerably less costly than natural stone or pavers and concrete will not shift over time.
• Can be re-sealed years later to give a fresh, bright, new appearance.
• As durable as any other concrete finish.
• Stamped concrete borders or insets can be used in combination with exposed or broomed finishes to enhance the appearance of a pad.

Stamped concrete is not generally used for year-round heavy traffic areas such as exterior stairs or driveways because it can become slippery during wet or cold conditions. Stamped patios and walkways should be re-sealed within 1-5 years of installation depending on exposure to the sun or traffic.
